Project Summary
MacKay and Somps was commissioned by the City of Pleasanton as the lead consultant of a design team that included MD Fotheringham and Associates, Balance Hydrologics, Sunshine Design and Berlogar Geotechnical to design and implement the Firehouse Art Center Transportation Corridor. The project includes an 80 stall parking lot, pedestrian and equestrian trails, an outdoor plaza, and patio space, envisioned to host outdoor markets and community events.
Sustainable Features
A suite of Low Impact Development (LID) features were included with the project to meet the needs of the Alameda County Clean Water Program (ACCEP) requirements including bio-swales, bio-retention ponds, detention and retention systems and pervious hardscape features.
