The Folsom Plan Area Specific Plan is a master planned community located on approximately 3,500 acres; adopted by the City of Folsom in 2011. There are a variety of housing opportunities with more than 11,000 residential dwelling units anticipated at buildout. Approximately 2.8 million square feet of commercial, office, and light industrial uses will be provided. Notably, more than 1,000 acres of permanent open space (over 30% of the Plan Area) is set aside, providing recreational opportunities, scenic views, and preservation of the existing oak woodlands and riparian corridors.
